Experience at a glance

What I do

Shipping and maintaining sites that last

I build and improve websites that need to be fast, accessible, easy to maintain, and useful after launch.

That often means working inside existing WordPress sites, custom themes, WooCommerce setups, inherited codebases, accessibility issues, performance problems, and marketing integrations.

My strongest work is connecting the front-end, WordPress, eCommerce, accessibility, performance, and marketing pieces so the site works better as a whole.

Work

Selected work

A few examples of the kind of work I'm often trusted with: complex WordPress systems, eCommerce workflows, accessibility remediation, technical problem solving, and unfamiliar codebases that still need forward progress.

Strengths

Core strengths

My core strengths are custom WordPress architecture, production-minded front-end development, accessibility remediation, Core Web Vitals performance work, MarTech/eCommerce integrations, and the ability to step into unfamiliar systems without needing everything neatly documented first.

Custom WordPress architecture

Custom themes, templates, ACF-driven content systems, WooCommerce customization, reusable components, and maintainable PHP patterns.

Front-end implementation

Responsive interfaces using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, and modern tooling where appropriate.

Accessibility and performance

WCAG/ADA remediation, semantic markup, keyboard-friendly behavior, Core Web Vitals, caching strategy, and script-loading improvements.

MarTech and eCommerce integrations

HubSpot, Pardot, GTM/GA, Formstack, Klaviyo, WooCommerce, Shopify, tracking scripts, lead capture, and revenue-supporting site workflows.

Technical problem solving

Comfortable working inside inherited codebases, messy constraints, unfamiliar systems, and projects where the path forward is not fully defined at the start.

Process and reliability

Long-term site maintenance, plugin/core/theme updates, documentation, safer deployments, security-minded practices, and steady senior judgment.

Skills

Skills and tools

A practical mix of technologies, platforms, and workflows I've used across long-term agency work, custom WordPress builds, eCommerce projects, accessibility remediation, performance work, and modern front-end exploration.

This list covers the tools and platforms I use regularly in production work, plus the adjacent technologies I've used to support modern front-end delivery and technical problem solving.

Skill depth note: Lighter pills represent adjacent technologies I've worked with successfully or am actively using while building deeper fluency. I don't currently consider them part of my senior-level core stack...yet.

About

Built through experience

A career shaped by real client work, long-term maintenance, and practical technical decisions.

I was hired as a front-end developer after college and learned web development through real agency work: building sites, supporting clients, fixing issues, launching projects, solving problems as they came up, and building A LOT of HTML emails.

Early on, I was fortunate to work alongside great developers who showed me what thoughtful, practical web development looked like in the real world. Just as importantly, they showed me the value of being easy to work with, staying positive, and helping the team keep moving.

Over time, I worked my way up to Senior Front-End Developer and became a long-term technical anchor across custom WordPress builds, front-end implementation, accessibility, performance, maintenance, and client support.

For a stretch, I was the only developer on the team, which taught me how to balance new work, urgent fixes, onboarding, technical decisions, and long-term site reliability.

As the development team evolved over the years, I became a steady technical presence. I helped onboard new developers and technical leads, carried forward project history, learned from each person's approach, and used the strongest ideas from each phase of the team to help improve our development workflow.
